WHO WE ARE
JR Electric is one of Maui’s premier electrical contractors. We specialize in custom high end residential electrical installations.
Our roots come from Kihei/Wailea area where we have been in the construction industries since 2004 and in the electrical sector since 2010.
We believe in bringing the absolute best integrations to the electrical industry as it is ever changing. Electrical is much more than switches and lights, it is something that we use every second of every day. It can also have a very personal touch as it brings artwork to life, shows the beauty in the wood grains, and calms our senses.
Working with fellow contractors and also directly with you the client we want to make sure that we find the best fit for how you want your home or business to look and feel.

Through progressive levels of expertise in projects our team members install, manage, and maintain electrical systems and equipment across all operational environments from residential to commercial.
Joe Ransford
Owner / Master Electrician
Owner/Founder Joe has been fascinated with electronics since high school, his early days were spent wiring car stereo’s and amplifiers on he and his freinds cars. His early days in the construction industry started as a framer/carpenter in 2004 and finally caught a break and moved into the electrical sector in 2010. Joe finished his apprenticeship and schooling at UH Maui College in 2015. He always knew there was a niche on Maui for a company that specialized in high end residential electrical projects and so JR Electric was founded in 2019. Outside of work Joe continues to serve in the US Army Reserves here on Maui with the 871ST Engineer Vertical Construction Company. When he’s not at work and doing the army thing you will find him at his local Crossfit box continuing the grind.
